Music
Kids these days tsch, don't know they're born. Where as these days you get LostProfets, Keiser Cheifs, The Killers and Franz Ferdinand, we had Rick Astley and Kylie and Jason. Even your fake manufactured bands are hand crafted from the finest quality plastic that we could only have ever dreamed of.
Anyone else find it odd to be having "In mah day we didn't have proper music like this stuff you have today with proper guitars, real energy and decent lyrics." conversations with the young folk?
And Andy Kirby claims music died with "Pump up the Volume" by MARRS.

80s music is what bonded me and Kestrel at our first Pack Holiday when I'd just joined the unit. We are of a similar age and were with our then YLs sharing the out the way loft room. Somehow the discussion got onto our music tastes and what we'd grown up with. Suffice to say we thought 80s stuff was better than the current stuff and the YLs just told us we were old! They're now YGs and still tease us for our love of the music of the 80s! Mind you we tease them back!
You do mean early 80s- Soft cell, Human League, New Order, Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet etc.
I'm more mid 80s, Kestrel is more early 80s being that bit older! But yep Duran Duran was on the playlist, however I was more of a A-Ha fan myself!
