Bruges
This weekend I went on a mini-cruise to Bruges. I took Friday off work and drove to Hull via Leeds. Then got on the overnight ferry to Zeebrugge. Coach transfer was provided by P&O to the station just on the Bruges ring road.
In Bruges I saw the sights of town from a horse drawn taxi, bought some Beligian beer from the supermarket (far cheaper than the Beer specialist near the market square), and bought some gifts for my mum and dad and Anna and Darren. The Taxi driver recommended a restaurant, which seemed good value with a 16 euros set menu, but it then charged for chips and mayonase with the mussels on top of the 16 euros, meaning I felt slightly ripped off.
The trip cost £54 per head, and was good value: somthing different to do with the weekend.
