Update

Well many of you will be wanting to know how I'm getting on.

I went to the fracture clinic on Thursday and everything seems to be fine. I was in for 2 hours. I did feel the removal of the old plaster cast a bit rough, but my stitches were removed and I now have a lighter resin cast that I can fit an ordinary pair of trousers over, it's snugger and easier to manage.

I even risked a bath yesterday, given resin won't disolve. OK I had to sit with my head at the tap end, with my leg resting away from the water on a stool. A bit wakward but I managed to get more thorughly clean than I can usually manage.

It's a bit frustrating, you don't know how much you rely on getting about even to do stuff you do sitting down. It's taken me an age to get through paperwork that would normally take me an hour becaue of having to hop around to bring it all together.

I'm pleased to see you are on the mend. I've been following the story of your leg with sympathy.

Had to click on your pictures to see what you look like.
It's funny so many names come through on so many e-lists and often I've no idea what they look like. I suppose I don't have that problem because of my hair which makes me distinguishable.

I noticed your comment on my blog. No need to apologise - you can write pages if you like as long as it has a valid point one way or the other.

I admit I'm one of those who reads your blog regularly - least when I've got the time. Why, you may ask. It's because the language style makes it quick to read and most of what you write is straight to the point. The postings are a mixture of the personal with politics. Reveals a bit about your human side.

Often wonder if some of our activists have a life outside the party. Read some postings recently actually moaning about other Lib Dem bloggers who write about their personal life. My instant reaction what a 'b...' cheek.
